Nicholas J. Clark MD
Dr. Clark is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery for adult patients with cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine disorders.
He completed his undergraduate studies at University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he graduated with honors with a degree in Genetics. He went on to medical school at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and was selected for Orthopedic Surgery residency at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
After residency, Dr. Clark completed an additional year of subspecialized training in spine surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, New York to master the latest surgical techniques from some of the world's top spine surgeons, including Dr. Todd Albert, Dr. Frank Schwab, Dr. Sheeraz Qureshi, and Dr. Han Jo Kim.
Dr. Clark has published extensively in the field of spine and orthopedics with >40 published articles, book chapters, and presentations which he has given to other spine surgeons nationally and internationally. Dr. Clark has been consistently recognized by patients, colleagues, and hospital staff for his devotion to the field and empathy and compassion in patient care, receiving numerous awards.
Dr. Clark treats every patient as he would his own family and tries to avoid surgery whenever possible to get patients back to doing what they love, whether this is elite performance in athletics or playing with grandkids. When surgery is required, Dr. Clark uses his training in minimally invasive techniques, navigation, and robotic surgery to provide cutting edge care, giving patients the best outcome while minimizing pain. He focuses on motion preservation when possible.
Dr Clark is assisted by Jorge Monje ARNP, an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. He brings over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong clinical background in general and orthopedic surgery.
